Charlene got her writing start writing articles online for various clients. While Charlene enjoys creating works of art much more than writing stories, she still finds it nice to sit down and write a fun story every now and then. Stories are, after all, much more fun than articles
Charlene is happily married with three beautiful kids. She loves scrapbooking, singing to her favorite music, and hanging out with her beautiful family.

TAYLOR GOODWIN
Taylor believes the fun of writing to be in that, for good or ill, there is no right or wrong answer! As badly as some pieces serve for entertainment, (I'll take an omelet, surely you can get that right.) they all serve to forward the writer to the next stair on the winding path that, we are told, connects the mind to the fingers and heart. Thus, Taylor enjoys writing the worst stories, ballads, poetry and prose possible, knowing this fact and one other- that there is a limited amount of 'awful' in any writer can produce before, eventually, that a glimmering sliver of what he terms 'The Blank Page' will shine among the wreckage of editorial migraines (via an overload of Sokka stamps) proverbial pencil nubs and wanderings in the eternal labyrinthine forest of the unending 'What Ifs'!
Taylor also enjoys reading too much, haggling for truth serum every friday and taking hikes with his lovely wife, Avril.
AVRIL GOODWIN

Hello. My name is Avril Goodwin. I come from a long line of American Patriots on both sides of my family. One of the most notable figures is perhaps George Marsden who was an aide to General George Washington. He was a soldier in the British army and was sent to the colonies. It was there that he saw the potential of America and so switched sides and then became an officer in the Colonial army. He was married to Wilmot Lee who was the sister of Richard Henry Lee, one of the signers of the Declaration of Independence. On the other side of my family I am descended from the Winnebago and the Cherokee Indian nations. The Cherokee Indians have become a separate and distinct nation by treatise and by law. The Cherokee Indians were the people that suffered through the Trail of Tears, marching from Georgia to Oklahoma. They have their own government and are one of the largest employers in Oklahoma today. My ancestry has made me proud to be an American and to honor freedom and all that liberty stands for. I believe that liberty is one of the greatest gifts available to humankind. I am using my liberty to attend school at Colorado State University - Pueblo. I am majoring in Political Science and my minor is business management. I want to go to law school and open up my own practice and specialize in becoming a consumer advocate and also run for some local offices. I am married to a wonderful and supportive husband who is the reason I feel like I can reach the stars if I wanted to. I hope you enjoy all the stories.

Charles Buechele lives in Pennsylvania where he is working on his Master’s Degree in writing fiction at Seton Hill University. He loves to write everything from short stories and picture books to poetry and full length novels. His personal writing motto is: Even if it is not true, it is well conceived. When he isn’t busy with school or writing (which isn’t very often) he enjoys painting vivid landscapes usually with oils, but sometimes with watercolor. He also enjoys making his own hand bound books. When asked how he would describe his life in only eight words his response was: “I like to go further than others would allow.”

ROWENA HESS
Rowena lives in Colorado. She competed in swimming, which keeps her fit
and having fun. Short stories has been a
hobby for her for most of her life and so when there is time she busts out that
creative pen for Liberty’s Standard and writes us a story or two.

ROBERT HESS
Robert is a drummer, pianist, and loves to write stories as
well. He lives in Colorado spending his spare time with his
dog Amy playing and exercising. He is learning computer programming and wants
to build apps for your phone.

LAUREN GOODWIN
Lauren Goodwin is an aspiring fantasy gee—er, writer. One of her favorite aspects to writing is remaking the old into something new and compelling. (Six Swans fairy tale? Sure. Six swans in ancient Greek Hyperborea? YES.) She believes the most exciting kind of writing is discovery writing – when characters step so firmly into life that the author chronicles rather than creates their exploits.
When not writing about pegallamacorns, dragons, Tricksters, bards, courtiers and thieves, or setting equators on fire and making humans mildly poisonous, she enjoys pestering family and friends about her writing, reading, creating conspiracies, hiking, making blanket forts and four wheeling.

BENJAMIN HESS
I am a Child of God,
Father of 3, Husband to the most beautiful woman in the world, Freedom Fighter
on non military fronts, and a gunsmith with a degree from Colorado School of
Trades. I love building guns and I love writing
stories. Now I own a company where I do
both. I try to write stories that inspire
people to think that they can and should become someone whom wants to make a
positive difference. All people are
important and can make a difference that will impact generations to come.
